Summary of Achievements in the Year 2023

This year 2023 IMFH undertook many projects, the following is the summary of its major accomplishments.

1. The best provider of Quality Care and Protection to neglected children in the Volta Region. Complying with national Care Reform Initiative of the Government in the effective operations of the “Children’s Village” in Abor-Weme, V/R. which currently houses 49 vulnerable children from all over the Country and West Care, Protection, good Nutrition, Health care and quality basic education are provided for all children free of charge.
2. Providing and maintaining Infrastructure in the “Children’s Village” to ensure conducive environment for children. Completion of a new 60 capacity boys Dormitory
3. Transforming IMFH Basic School Complex to Centre of Academic Excellence: The school has standardized infra-structure and a modern Computer Lab and Library giving a boost to teaching and learning, resulting in a very impressive academic performance ( 89 -100%) in the BECE all year Enrolment of the school currently stands at 554 pupils. The boarding system with excellent facilities is at present accommodating 75 children.
4. Reaching out to Remote Communities with Social Intervention Programme in 8 Administrative Districts and Municipalities of the South East of Ghana. IMFH continues to maintain and to build new structures for teaching practices, residential purposes and community worship. The simplest are the 3 Classrooms Shades, the Multipurpose
5. IMFH, also this year, has continued providing 98 Pupil Teachers to its 70 Mission and Local Community Schools by engaging “Youth in Community Service” a programme that sponsors Youth after their SHS Exams. These Youth are supported in continuing their education. In the year 2023, 10 of them graduated from various Residential Colleges of Education and 12 of them were awarded a Diploma in Basic Education from Distant Learning Programmes. In the next 4 years we expect 60 new teachers, now in formation, to be graduating and joining our ever-growing teaching
6. Faithful to its Mission IMFH continued operating a Charity and Sponsorship programme in support of over 700 young needy people and their families. Providing them with financial and material aid, as well as furthering their education academically and in the learning of a job for their self-reliance.
7. Free Special Education, Health Services and Physiotherapy were offered to Over 64 handicap children: Physically challenged, Hearing and Speech Impaired, Low Vision and totally Blind
8. Organizing successful Schools Deworming Programmes in Abor , Bakpa Avedo and Mafi areas to reach out to remote communities in partnership with Youcanyolé, a group of Spanish Doctors. In March and in December we successfully dewormed 7,741 children.
9. IMFH has handled and followed up on 12 new Health cases of very seriously sick people and life-threatening pathologies. In spite of the heavy financial burden and the decreasing of our resources, trusting in the Divine Providence, full medical support was given to these new cases while still monitoring and supporting old one to ensure their full

Our GOOD LORD continues calling us individually and collectively. Let us not look at our strength but at the power of His calling. To Him we are grateful for the gift of this Mission of “IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE”.
