A US based organisation known as SBIG (Students Bridging the Information Gap), that donated the ICT Lab and Library in 2011 has recently upgraded the Lab with 17 new fully networked computers with E-learning Software to enhance quality education. A new projector was also installed and two new laptops and a printer were  donated to enhance the work of the lab instructors.

The SBIG team from US was led by the President of the group, Mr. Tom Kilian and His brother Mr. Richard Killian who officially re-handed-over the facility to Mr. Frank Amenyo and Hon. Wisdom Seade who represented IMFH as the Deputy Director and the Administrator respectively. The SBIG team also donated sack bags to the students who participated in the program.

Mr. Tom Killian in his address edge the parents and other stakeholders to take part in the maintenance and sustenance of the facility as it will go a long way to help in the promotion of ICT education in the community and the country as whole.

 

In his closing remarks, the Deputy Director, Frank Amenyo expressed his gratitude and appreciation to SBIG for their support over the years and has promised to ensure the proper use of the facility for the students to derive the maximum benefit from it.

The program which ended successfully on the 5th of June 2023, saw the presence of the Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey and the Municipal Chief Executive of Keta, Hon. Emmauel Gemegah who graced the program.
